WHAT COURSES DOES THE SCHOOL OF MINES OFFER?

 

The School of Mines offers many courses over the lunch hour, in the evenings, and through distance education. You may view a list of these courses through WebAdvisor, a tool used at our institution by students, to register for courses online and perform various other tasks. Viewing Courses Offered Over the Lunch Hour:

  1. For a list of these courses click on Search for Sections, which will take you to WebAdvisor.
  2. Choose the term you wish to search by clicking on the down arrow in the Term drop-down box and then selecting the proper term. This is a required field.
  3. Select the appropriate time range in the Classes meeting after and the Classes meeting before boxes. For example, if you are interested in courses offered after 11:00 AM but before 1:00 PM, select 11:00-11am in the Classes meeting after box and 13:00-1pm in the Classes meeting before box.
  4. Go to the University drop-down box and select SDSMT - SD School of Mines & Tech. It is required that either University or Location (or both) be selected for a valid search.
  5. Next, scroll down the page and click on Submit. You may print the course list by using your browser's print feature.

  5. Next, scroll down the page and click on Submit. You may print the course list by using your browser's print feature.

  3. Go to the University drop-down box and select SDSMT - SD School of Mines & Tech.
  4. Click the down arrow in the Locations box and select AD-Alternate Delivery.
  5. Next, scroll down the page and click on Submit. You may print the course list by using your browser's print feature.

NOTE: If you register for a distance education course, please go to SDSM&T's Distance Education. This page will help you to register for distance education courses and to get started with your internet or DVD delivery course.

HOW DO I REGISTER?
If you are interested in registering for courses, please open, print, and complete one of the three following attachments. All three attachments are the same application, but are in different formats. If you cannot open the first attachment, try the next one. If you need to download Adobe Acrobat to read the pdf file below, click Adobe Acrobat's free software.

 

 

NON-DEGREE SEEKING APPLICATIONS

The completed application can be either brought to Academic and Enrollment Services in the O'Harra Building on the School of Mines campus or faxed to (605) 394-1268. You may also send the completed application to:

No application fees will be assessed for non-degree seeking students. If you are having difficulty opening the application, give us a call at (605) 394-2400 or (800) 544-8162 ext. 2400 to request an application. We can either mail or fax the application to you.
